Funding Interests
The
Tauber Family Foundation, Inc., established by his children
Ingrid Tauber, Ph.D. and Alfred Tauber, M. D., is
recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 503(b)
non-profit private charity. The Foundation has committed
itself to continue the philanthropy begun by Dr. Tauber in
four major areas: education, biomedical research, services
to persons with psychosocial and psychiatric disabilities,
and social welfare. 1) Educational grants support
scholarships and innovative academic programs; 2)
biomedical research projects focus on the regulation and
organization of complex biological systems; 3) services for
persons with psychosocial disabilities include innovative
rehabilitation programs and clinical research; 4) social
welfare programs encompass a wide array of support for the
economically under-privileged. Grants in each area are
awarded to institutions of the United States and Israeli
affiliates.
Grant recipients are specifically researched and selected
by the Foundation's President and
Secretary-Treasurer.
Therefore,
the Foundation at the present time does not accept
unsolicited grant applications.
