The Tauber Family Foundation, Inc., established by his children Ingrid Tauber, Ph.D. and Alfred Tauber, M. D., is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 503(b) non-profit private charity. The Foundation has committed itself to continue the philanthropy begun by Dr. Tauber in four major areas: education, biomedical research, services to persons with psychosocial and psychiatric disabilities, and social welfare. 1) Educational grants support scholarships and innovative academic programs; 2) biomedical research projects focus on the regulation and organization of complex biological systems; 3) services for persons with psychosocial disabilities include innovative rehabilitation programs and clinical research; 4) social welfare programs encompass a wide array of support for the economically under-privileged. Grants in each area are awarded to institutions of the United States and Israeli affiliates.
Grant recipients are specifically researched and selected by the Foundation's President and Secretary-Treasurer.
Therefore, the Foundation at the present time does not accept unsolicited grant applications.
